My DH is about to go in for a sleep study and I know they're going to diagnosis him with sleep apnea and will have him on a sleep machine.

Does anyone know if being on CPAP can be eventually weaned and have the body learn to keep breathing when asleep?

Hi all that is on a c-pap..I got mine 2 years ago. It was working right at frist, I really dont know what happen to it. I have not use it that much say about 5 times in 2 years. They up to 7 or 8 I think and now it cant use it at all..It suck my face in it, I feel like I need to use it everynite b/c I am not going into a deep sleep..It is to help you sleep deep, and keep something open. ( I cant spell that word. So please forgave me on that. ) Which can couse death. You can stop beathing in your sleep.

I was just setting here thinking. That I needed to get a sleep study done again..B/C I cant get set right. They want touch it without the Dr. okay on it.They dont believe what I say on my C-pap. and what it is doing.

I know when I use it. It really made me feel great the next day, but I didn gave it time to get use it it on my face.

I would not come off of the c-pap if you use one..I really need mine..
I dont know if I been any help or not..I hope so as for as the c-pap.
This is the frist time I have come to the heathboard.
