My mother has crohn's and needs surgery to have a part of her small intestin removed and then they have to joint the small and large intestin together. Is this a resection? And does anyone know what the receovery time is?

Yes this is a rescetion. Its usally a 5 0r 6 day hospital stay. Then it all depends on the person. But usually 6 weeks to get back to normal..
