I would be glad to but you will learn much more by using Google.com search engine and searche for "diabetes". You will find oodles of info. Also search for "insulin resistance".
Please ask your doctor to test your glucose and do an A1C test which averages sugar level over the past 3 months giving a better reading of how your sugar level averages out to be over that period of time.
Try eating lean meat and non-starch vegetables and see if it helps your acne and also will postpone becoming a diabetic like your relatives. Eating normal servings, losing weight if overweight and exercising every day will go a long ways towards better health.
The food pyramid that has been used for many years and approved by the American Diabetes Associan (ADA) is actually outdated. It has most of your calories coming from starches and that will get you into trouble with complection and other health problems. Caffeine is not good for acne, it stimulates the oil glands. Caffeine is also not good for diabetics.
The more you read about diabetes the better off you will be. Better to start now making life style changes for life for better health.
Also search for "acne" and "acne treatments".
Harmones plays a big part in acne. I had acne for years and thought when I was in my 30's I would not have it but I did, just a little different. My daughters still have problems with their faces breaking out a certain time of the month and they range from 38-42 years of age. Some of us just seem to have an oily skin with pores that clog easy. Heavy makeup is a no-no, skin needs to dry out and breathe.

Hypoglycemia is low blood sugar. Sometimes if you haven't eaten enough carbs your sugar can drop and you can feel shaky or dizzy... sometimes act drunk.
I've never heard of it having anything to do with acne. They're not related at all as far as I know.

Hey 21, I'm not sure that diabetes is related to acne, but I do know that high bloodsugar can cause various reactions in your body. One that I know is common at least among the people that I know is boils....they seem to look like acne beneath the skin. They are painful and take a while to go away. Who knows? Acne could be some type of reaction. Do you notice any correlation between breakouts and your bloodsugar level?
