skeetersquirt 05-08-2006, 02:42 PM DS is 7 weeks opld today. When do they roll over typically? I went to check on him during his nap and he was up fully on his side sleeping! I put him on his back! JuniorsMommy929 05-08-2006, 03:46 PM my little guy could go from his back to his side or belly to side as soon as he was born, or should i say, as soon as he came home and wasnt swaddled, he hated bein wrapped up tight like that, i know everyone says its a no no, but he slept on his belly from two weeks on, he is now a little over 7 months Fenn2kb 05-09-2006, 10:49 AM My baby is a late bloomer, she started about a couple weeks ago, but still has trouble sometimes turning over. hugs28 05-09-2006, 05:22 PM my ds started rolling when we got home from the hospital, did it til about 1 month old, then didn't do it again til 3-4 months BioAdoptMom3 05-09-2006, 11:20 PM I would let them sleep the way they want to sleep and sleep best. First, the risk of SIDS is less than 1 in 1000 for a newborn tummy sleeper and about 1 in 1500 for a newborn back sleeper. Second, once they are strong enough to roll over the already low risk of SIDS drops even further. They sleep much better that way too (most babies do anyway). Nancy feb06baby 05-10-2006, 02:22 PM DD s 3 months old and rolled over from her belly to her back around 2 months or so. She would only do it once in a while, but within the last week has been able to do it fairly well. Its still takes a lot of work for her to do it, its not like she rolls over instantly after being laid on her tummy. |
