Everytime I start sweating whether it be from exercising or eating spicy foods, I start feeling an intense itch in areas like my scalp, chest, and back. I'm not exactly sure what's causing this. I have suffered from eczema in the past but this time there is no rash and none of the hydrocortizone ointments have worked to stop the itching. Whenever I rub the itchy areas to calm the itch, my skin turns very red temporarily. The itching lasts for about 5 minutes and then goes away. Does anyone know what may be causing this and what I can do to prevent it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you sweat, your body is getting rid of toxins in your body. That means what you ate also. Like people who eat alot of garlic will start to smell like garlic when they sweat, with you, you itch. I don't think you are allergic to anything. It may just be what you ate or you might be sensitive to the sweat. It is full of potassium and salt. This can make you itch till you bathe.
