was just reading an artical about HBP meds(atenolol) maybe giving you higher BS readings than should be. Has anyone info on this or has it happened to you?????

Yes, I noticed that with atenolol. The increase though was pretty small (<10 mg/dL). For non-diabetics, this should not be a problem. I am diabetic, but have my sugars under control via diet/exercise and the loss of 50 lbs back to "normal" weight. My understanding is that the increase in your sugar level is minor, but observable, when on these beta blockers.
