Hello all-
I am a wieght lifter, and I am having some troubles with the survace veins on my arms. When I lift, and even when I dont lift, my surface veins pop out like crazy. Its not like varicose veins but they are just gross looking. Anyone have any suggestions to get them to go down? Im 5'11 and I weigh 150.2 pounds about. I barely have any body fat because I just cant put on weight. Let me know what you think.
Thankyou

well, when you are actively lifting and creating new muscle, since those veins actually lie on top of that muscle,it will make them appear more prominent as they are being pushed out more to the surface.this just kind of comes along when you are lifting and the muscle enlarges.since you say that you don't have alot of body fat, they are probably just more pronounced since they do not have any fat tissue to lie into.
I don't really think there is a whole lot you can actually "do" about this unless you either gain more fat or stop lifting all together.sorry I couldn't really offer you actual help here.FB
