Anyone taking Lipitor? If you are, are you having any problems with your blood sugar? My husband's blood sugar has been relatively steady until he began taking Lipitor to lower his LDL level. Now it is out of control.

My husband is taking lipitor and supposedly is not diabetic. But since he has been on it, his blood sugar has been so low that he shakes and sweats and feels very anxious. He has to eat right away. He went to MD and he told him there is nothing he can do about it except take a candy every where he goes and suck one when he feels that. He is also having liver enzyme problem too. We think he should go off it but MD says to stay on because everything else is normal now ( like colesterol)HMMMMM

Hi,
I just came across this site, I am glad I did!!! There is a lot of info posted that is very helpful. Anyhow, my doctor put me on lipator 40mg a day last month,I have typeII diabetes, so far things are o.k I haven't noticed much difference. The only thing I noticed was a little dizziness. I hope your husband feels better.
