I am going to get an insulin pump soon, but i'm not sure which are better. These are my choices: the deltic cozmo, 508 minimed, paradigm minimed. i've done my research on them, but i need to talk with someone who already has one of these. thanks and please reply.

My daughter has the Paradigm.
We really like it. Specifically, she likes the speed bolus button. She also likes the remote, because she can use that in the movies without having to unclip her pump, etc.
I can't speak for the others, but the one drawback so far with the Paradigm is that the batteries have lasted, on average, about a week and a half. We use the recommended Energizer Alkaline, a week and a half seems to be about the working life of the battery.
Hope this helps!

I also use the Paradigm, and I like it. My batteries have been lasting approximately 3 weeks. I don't use the vibrate feature or the remote, so that may be why my batteries last longer.

I have had the Minimed Pump, the Diestronic's pump, and I now have the Animas pump. It is my favorite so far. It is very easy to use and the customer service is wonderful

My wife has the 507C and loves it.
1. She wishes she had a remote. Both the 508 and Paradigm have the remote.
2. From reading the other responses, the inexpense AAA battery lasts a few weeks. Our insurance pays 100% of durable medical goods, including the 3 silver oxide batteries. I can't even tell you how long these batteries last, but it is at least a 1.5 months or longer.
3. I load my wife up with ~280 units which lasts her 3 days. The paradigm resevoir size is 176 units, which means my wife would be switching out every couple days.
4. The Paradigm is water tight, up to 8 feet for 24 hours. Here's the question, would you want to go swimming in a pool or ocean, or take a shower with a $5,000 dollar pump??? Why put your pump through that abuse unless you're a fish.
Hope this helps.
