I'm worried I may have diabetes, have had excessive thirst for 4 days, & borrowed my diabetic friend's glucose monitor. Woke up with a bad sinus headache and took 3 advil, and 1 hr later tested myself (without eating or drinking anything). The test showed 152, then 30 minutes later showed 139.
Does advil affect blood sugar levels?

My DH has diabetes and takes Advil regularly for headaches and body pains and it doesn't effect his BS at all. But looking at your monitor readings, I'd go have a fasting glucose test done with your doctor. They are high. GOOD LUCK

Since you have access to a blood glucose machine, try this....
1. Record your blood sugar level.
2. Drink an 8 ounce glass of orange juice which contains ~26 carbs.
3. Wait 20 minutes.
4. Take another blood sugar level reading.
As a type 1 diabetic, your glucose levels would elevate ~60 to 100 from this glass of juice.
Even if you don't do the test, go to the doctor and have it checked out!
