Hey everyone... Hmm well as many of you know i'm 18... I just got hired at a local place i applied to (big step for me!) and well the lady really liked me, and i got the job. I took a Klonipin to go to the interview, and well I'm really proud of myself for getting the job.. It will be full time over the summer. OK here's my problem my anxiety goes up and down, sometimes its bearable sometimes its hell! ugh! i don't know what i will do?? Hopefully I can hide it and be normal! any advice?

I assume Klonopin is an anti-anxiety med? I am in the same boat as there is a very good chance I will get this job that I applied for.
I would suggest trying to see a psychologist for cognative behavior therapy.

I just got a major career job also... I postponed my start date because of the anxiety and medical complications I've been having... hopefully I will find out what is going on before I start... once I start also, I can't really miss work for appointments... it's very unnerving...I've been missing alot of my current job because of anxiety and panic... thankfully, they are pretty understanding...

I got a job as a cashier last month and am still pluggin away at it. I take clonazepam and Lexapro for anxiety, however I still have days when I am either nervous or suffering from a depressive episode. I am able to function in the job because I take it one day at a time and try to concentrate on doing the job and thereby detach myself from my feelings. I know that I would be more effective without the twin horrors of anxiety and depression always lurking around the corner...I've had to deal with them ever since I did a cold turkey withdrawal from Paxil - the first AD I was on 4 years ago.
I've been thinking of going back to my doctor and see if he will switch me from Lexapro back to Paxil or something else. Ever since I started on the clonazepam, I've felt more calm and better able to deal with the real world. I think I owe getting my job to it. However, I can already feel that it is not doing as much for me now as it was when I first started taking it in February. It's either go up on the dose, or try an AD switch. I am hoping that the Paxil is more potent than Lexapro and better for anxiety so that I can stop taking clonazepam daily and only use it sparingly.

to catt
take a small dose of klonapin before work and carry a tablet with you, if anxious, disolve it under the tongue for fastest help
also remember to breathe deep and slow, relax your muscles and dons stay tensed up
you need to learn new ways of relaxing and calming yourself
klonapin or any other valium type med always helps,an antidepressant help s sometimes but not always
