I have been having one medical issue after another and I think that I am finally losing my mind.

Yesterday's issue was that I had this lump on the bottom of my foot. It just appeared out of nowhere and I don't remember doing anything to my foot. In addition to this, I have all these small bruises (about 8 of them) on my legs in all different areas. Now I do tend to be clumsy so I had convinced myself that the bruises were just from bumping into stuff. But then when I got the lump, I was convinced something was wrong with me like blood clots or something. I know this makes absolutely no sense but what can I tell you, I'm a hypochondriac. Anyway, today the lump felt a little better but then I had a pain in my calf/knee area so I am convinced that I DO have a blood clot that is traveling up my leg and will surely kill me very soon. The rational side of my brain is telling me that the calf/knee area is just sore from walking funny yesterday due to the lump on my foot. Of course, the more I thought about it I started having trouble breathing which is a sign of a pulmonary embolism (caused by blood clots - thank you internet!).

What do you think???? Am I totally out of control or could I have a real problem here? I have lost 20 pounds in the last 3 months and it could either be stress or a serious illness that they haven't found even though I've been to about a dozen doctors since January.

Why do I have to live this way?????

I would make a Dr's appointment about the foot and bruises. If you really feel it's a blood clot and your in danger just go to the emergency room. Dont look at the ER as bad place but a place where a Doc can evaluate you and give you piece of mind.

I had fear that my heart was bad and I went to the ER due to a panic attack and my Dr worked with me and allowed me to take several tests to greatly diminish that my heart is bad.

We also have a way of trying to explain the way we feel the way we do. Sometimes it's hard to accept that we have GAD.

Good luck.
