my triglyceride level is 400 plus(under 150 is optimal), and my good cholesterolis 36 (40 plus is good) by no means am i overweight.

ive taken lots of pills in the last 5 years, which probably is the suspect. anyone heard of that problem?

It sounds like you eat too many Carbs!!! and don't get enough exercise.

Seriously, look into the Low Carb way of life. Do a search and you will get more information than you have time to read! It goes against all we have ever been told, but apparently it is carbs that convert into fat in the blood (triglyceride) and not dietary fat (input). There are numerous studies that you will find on this - just do a search.

I stated the low carb diet for two weeks. Boy did my blood sugar drop, but my tryciserides (sp)were up and I had mild ketones in my urine. The doctor told me not to worry about it. Would you comment?-Greg
