I hope this doesn't get deleted as I posted it somewhere else but couldn't get a response.
Hi. I take Yasmin (since Jan) and had my period from April 19th-23rd. I stopped for 5 days and then spotted off and on for about 10 days on the 10th day (yesterday) I started bleeding like a regular period and having severe cramps. I had a procedure called LEEP done on March 28th. They removed a small portion of my cervix. So last night I went to the ER to make sure it wasn't from that. They did some test everything came back negative. Now I have been COMPLETELY stressed out for a couple of weeks. Could it just be stress? I know stress can make you skip your period, but can it make you have an extra period, that is extra long, and painful, when you are on the pill? Last night they gave me a prescription for pain pills and told me to make an appointment with my gyno if it doesn't stop.

Stress can affect your periods and cause irregular bleeding and so can the pill.. There are other medical causes also, that need eliminating if it continues.
