View Full Version : Klonopin causing more depression?

I've taken klonopin for about 1 1/2 yrs now. Worked beautifully for a long time. Starting to notice, like this morning, I was feeling a bit anxious so I took a half of a 1mg tablet. About an hour later the grey cloud was hanging over my head. This has happened 3 or 4 times lately. I've only noticed it while taking it during the day because I usually only take it at bedtime. Has anyone else expereinced this. Wondering if this could be why my antidepressant isn't working as much as well. pinkeetoz

these long acting benzos are sometimes prescribed at bedtime on the theory that a dose lasts 24 hours, but I dont think they last that long, also you have perhaps by now lost the ability to fall asleep naturally

I would be asking about upping your antidepressant dose
