Last week I went to my Dr. for a routine physical exam. All went well until he told me to turn around and bend over. I never heard that before! It became clear I was going to have my first dreaded Digital Rectal Exam.

So I turned around, put my elbows on the table, and the next thing I know, he’s saying: “OK, here’s your prostate – feels fine”. What got me was that once he started pressing on my prostate, I became erect and thought I might be headed for a very embarrassing moment. I had heard that stimulating the prostate could cause an orgasm. But since I’m not into anal stimulation, I didn’t know what to expect. So, as I was leaning on my elbows watching my penis grow and the pressure on my prostate becoming more intense, I was afraid I was going to ejaculate right then and there. Like I said, I didn’t know what to expect and the last thing I’d want to happen in the exam room is to ejaculate. Besides, in my case, it doesn’t often take much pressure on my prostate, nor does the pressure have to last long, before I secrete seminal fluid during a bowel movement. I was grateful it didn’t happen but I was wondering if anyone has had the experience of secreting seminal fluid during their rectal exam?

I appreciate your responses because simply knowing what others experience goes along way in helping to remove apprehensions over things that others may experience.

you can get some leakage during the digital exam. It is usually expected. Don't be embarrassed.

No siminal fluid, but I've had a partial arection at times! I've always dreaded, and yet do, that part of my physical, even though I know that it is normal for some of us that are very sensitive in that area. I actually get nervous, and have to consentrate on something in the room. I even get a partial during the genital exam some times. I don't think it's enough for the doctor to notice, but I'm aware of it...As for the discharge with bm movements, yes I experience that as well! Not with every bm. Just when I haven't :bouncing: :bouncing: had sex with my wife in a week or so. Just want you to know that you're not out there by your self!
