how do i go about getting an allergy test? and do i need to tell them what allergies to look for, or is there a generic allergy test?

oh oh, is it called a RAST test? and is it pronounced "RA-ST" or R.A.S.T?

Find an allergist and just tell them you wanted to be tested for allergies. Be sure it is the scratch test and not the blood test...it's more specific. There are certain things that are in all - cats, dogs, grass, etc - and some that may be specific to where you live...

i'm more concerned about food allergies

Well, that's a horse of a different color. But you still need an allergist. Basically, you just find a good one (ask around) and make an appointment. Tell him/her what your problems are and they will take it from there. IF it's food, some may want to try an elimination diet first...because it may not be a true allergy...anyway, the best way to find out is to head to a doctor.
