Jan, I read about your post somewhere in here about how you think Avastin may be helping Bud. I will pray that is true as you and he deserve a break. I did read some where about some man that only had Avastin for 1 month and has been stable for many months even thou he only had it the one month. Can't recall why he did not take it longer. Know I am pulling for Bud as something outthere has to work for him. When we get to the point where this chemo is no longer working I plan to bring up Avastin one more time.My mom's doctor backed down from using it as he says there is an increase chance of bleeding in the elderly but I have been following posts elsewhere of a 71 yr old lady taking it.
Right now we have a problem where Kaiser says my mom has already reached her cap for perscription drugs for the year so now all perscription drugs are out of pocket and the procrit and neupogen are not cheap. If it is not one thing it is another.
Next week my dad gets his chest CT so we will soon see what we are up against there.
Hope you have a good mother's day and will continue sending lots of good thoughts and prayers Bud's way. JanMarie
