I don't know...

She was born at 9 pounds 2 ounces and 20.5 inches long. At 7 weeks she was almost 11 pounds and 22 inches long. I think she's gunna end up being a little chunk. I love her rolls. Grandpa says she has Popeye arms. :D

And I thought our 6 month old DS was big at 18 lbs (9lb 8oz at birth). I hope your back is handling it okay, mine is still getting used to picking him up. HA!

My friend's son was out of his infant carseat at 4 months because he was over 20 pounds. Now he's 18 months and he's in the normal range. Another one of my friends had a 24 pound baby at 5 months. I always worried about my son because he was off the charts for his height but only in the 25% for weight. But the doctor said he was fine so I would say if your doctor isn't worried he's probably fine.

I have a small baby. At 6 months, she weighed 14 lbs, 5 oz and was 23.75 inches long. She was in the 25th percentile for weight.

She's now 8 months. Hasn't been officially weighed since 6 mo, but I'm guessing she's somewhere in the 16 lb range.

My nephew was just under 9 kilo (approximately 19 pounds) when he was 14 months old, which put him somewhere below the 5th percentile for weight even though he was in the 75th for height. The doctor insists that is okay, because "no baby could be that cute if he was starving," which I must say is a poor answer because the child had an extremely high pain tolerance. He can run smash against the corner of the table and not blink an eyelid if he was having fun otherwise -- even though a walnut sized bump rose later on. He's an extremely picky eater, and every time he's sick (which was often the past few months because he just started day care) he won't eat at all.

WOW  Thats SMALL! No one refered him to a Nutritionist? Not trying to sound mean. My 6 month old is bigger then that and my 2 yr old weighs 34lbs!

My DD, at 5 months old, is quite a little chunker. Her last visit to the doctor (about a month ago) she weight 16 lbs and was 26 inches long, the 95th percentile for both! Her daddy is very tall and so am I and we were both chunky babies and now we are both average weight (I used to be underweight before pregnancy) so I am not worried about it in the long run. Most babies are chunkers so I wouldn't worry.

DS was born full term, weighed 9lbs 3 oz and was 21 3/4 in long. At 1 month he was 13 lbs 12 oz. We went to his 2 month appt on the 1st and he was 15 lb 9 oz and 24 in long. I just love chubby babies. Dont worry. Hes just healthy. Not to say that if theyre not chubby theyre not healthy!!!:)

DS was 19lbs at his 4 month check up and 25 inches long. He is now 6 months, but he hasn't had his check up yet. I am pretty sure he's about 25lbs and maybe 27inches long. I am not so sure about the length, but the weight I am almost positive.

My sister was born 12 pounds, which equates to about 5.5Kg - or a 8 week old newborn. It was NVD too..
