Hi Marksta, I'm due to have my first one on May 5th in C-7 and I am also looking for a lot of answers too. I have been posting in the pain management board also, so you can look there. There have also been other people asking questions about the injections, so you can read thier threads to get some answers also. When are you having yours?? Have you had any headaches with your injury? I've been looking for someone with the same kind of problems I have. My dr will be giving me a sedative before my injection and I am going to call his office and see if I can use a lidoderm patch the night before. Keep in touch. Angela

Hi Angela,
Actually I'm just waiting for the paperwork to get an mri to see what exactly he will do.He said by looking at some x-rays I had brought from a chiropractor he's thinking it looks like I either I have a bulging disk or a crack.Till I get the mri he can't say for sure.He does think injections will help or possibley surgery.
I just picked up my new meds today and he switched me from vic es to lortab 10/500.I just took the first one so I don't know how it's going to effect me. The vics got to where they didn't help much at all. Yes,I have some really bad headachs. He gave me Midrin but I can take excedrin migrain and it helps just as well.I'm really scared about having the injections though. He said he would give me as he called it "laughing gas" first to calm me down.I've heard good and bad about the injections.I have a wonderful doctor and I trust him or I wouldn't even be letting him do the injections.
Maybe we can find some answers on this board, there sure are some nice people on here.
Take Care,
Beverly

I've gotten a lot of good advice here, I'm glad I found the boards. My dr kept missing my bulges on my mri for months, finally a pain speciallist saw the bulges. The first dr kept giving me pain pills for my headaches, arm and shoulder pain, but it never touched the headaches. Sometimes the headaches turned into migraines that would last for five days. My new doctor finally put me on topamax and I have only had one headach since then. I finally went to a chiropracter when therapy wasnt working and I think it made things worse. At that time tho, we didn't know the extent of my injury. Keep in touch, I hope things work out for you.
