Dad left us this morning at 8am. He was surrounded by his children. He was peaceful and eased on his way with prayer and song.
Dad left 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed.
Thank you all for you support and help this last week. God, it's only been a week, isn't that unbelieveable! Your prayers have meant a lot to me.

Oh Cruiser...I'm happy for your dad, sorry for you. I know you're suffering so much right now and if there's anything I can do, please holler. I doubt you'll be posting a lot in the next little bit because of everything that's going on. I'm going to bump a thread either from here or the grief board that has some ideas for funerals and coping. I did a few things at my mom's funeral that were hard, but now I'm glad I did it.
The best thing I did was put a cute basket up front where the guests sign in and while they waited in line, there was cards, pens, and envelopes for people to share memories in. It took me a while till I could look back on them, but it has been a blessing being able to see the way my mom made other people smile and just some of the goofiness that I didn't see at home.
I hope this finds you as well as can be expected.....hugs, prayers and sympathy........Angel

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, I too lost my dad in Febuary, 2 days before his birthday. No matter how sick they were it doesn't make their passing any easier. Wishing you the best, and saying prayers for you and your family.
