Have been tested for thyroid disorder before but am wondering if I should go again. Had T3, T4 and TSH and that is IT. Should I have had something called a "T3"? Seems like I hve read before a person should have this also. The tests I did have did have came back in the normal range but still wondering if I have thyroid problems. Have been having neuropathy for 18 months, also vibrating, buzzing, humming sensation throughout my whole body. Last night I was awake until 6:00 am - felt so "shaky" inside. Things really irritate me like loud noises, voices, etc. I am Diabetic which is probably where the neuropathy is coming from but not sure of all of these other sensations, or could be menopause coming on. I know, I am a mess but wanted your input on blood work I should be having to rule things out. Thanks

It sounds like you've already HAD all the thyroid tests. I believe T3, T4 and TSH are it, as far as thyroid is concerned.

The change can bring on many unusual problems. Have you considered trying hormone replacement therapy, at least for a short period of time? I went on it for about a year before I actually went through menopause because I was having such a terrible time with mood swings. The HRT straightened that out, and as soon as I actually went through menopause I didn't need it any more.

At least, if you try HRT and it helps, then you'll know the symptoms are from that.
