He Got Two Liver Samples And It Took About Ten Minutes. Now The Results Have Come In. They Rate It Like A Hurricane, O-4, Where Four Is The Worst. My Liver Scarring Or Cirrhosis Was A 0, And The Hep C Virus In My Liver Was A 1+. So Now Is My Dilemma, Not Having Insurance Should I Go For Treatment, Like The Interferon, Or Wait A Little Longer. I Am Self-employed And Live By Myself. I No Nothing About The Program Or What To Expect. Should I Plan On Not Being Able To Work If So I Would Need To Save Enough Money To Get By, And For How Long? Without insurance, interferon + ribavarin treatments will bankrupt you.

I would wait and take a conservative liver enhancing approach to life. No chemical poisons, no alcohol, a healthy diet. Probably eating liver a couple times a week is a good idea.;) No cirrhosis is a big plus.

Try too move to a state that will guarantee your acceptance by a health insurance plan if you need care in the future.

I assume you are asymptomatic? Did they find the antibodies to Hep C on a routine blood test?

Remember too that the treatment is only around 50% effective, extremely unpleasant, and most people relapse when it is discontinued.
