A recent medical journal article shows how diabetic nerve and vascular problems are helped by DHEA. DHEA can be purchased at most drug stores. Here is a summary of the article:

J Peripher Nerv Syst. 2003 Jun;8(2):128-133. Effect of Treatment of Diabetic Rats with Dehydro- epiandrosterone on Vascular and Neural Function.

Nutritional supplementation with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) may be a candidate for treating diabetes-induced vascular and neural dysfunction. .... These studies suggest that DHEA, by preventing oxidative stress and perhaps improving sciatic nerve Na+-K+-ATPase activity, may improve vascular and neural dysfunction in diabetes.
