hi

my dad has been unfortunate enough to be a diabetic and he's been on insulin shots for like two years now. but unfortunately again, he's been sick for the past week with nausea, loss of appetite, weakness, headaches, gas, and others. he got blood work done and the results are coming in soon. but from they symptoms he has its been speculated that he might have hepatitis (don't know which type). and this really got my mom scared to her wits.

any help on what can happen with this combination? i am not familiar with either disease, so any help is appreciated. what can happen? what other complications can this combo create?

If your dad does have hepatitis, he will need to be on a special diet since the liver will not be functiong that great plus do not want to stress the liver. This may mean a change in his choice of foods and how often he eats as well as protion size. Best to discuss this with his doctor and follow his guidelines.
