I know how you feel, I've had thyroid problems for years but only since having diabetes has my struggle w/ those last 10 pounds happened.I'm beggining to think I'm just going be stuck at this weight forever.I had gestational w/ my pregnancies so I didn't gain weight , they did.I just wanted you to know you are certainly not alone.Keep on trying , and be happy with yourself.

the glycemic index diet may help, you can actually eat more food than before and it is filling, so you dont feel hungry

I am also one of those people, I had gestational diabetes with 3 pregnancies, with my last I developed insulin resistance and now the doctors say I have type 1 diabetes. With each of those pregnancies I gained 50 to 70lbs. I also take synthroid and with each doctor I see they want to adjust the dosage. I also tried the Atkins diet, not really understanding how it worked; between the diet and insulin resistance I did lose weight putting myself in a state of ketoacidosis that almost ended my life. I am now on an insulin pump which I think is wonderful. I exercise and eat small meals every two hours I have lost 25lbs. over seven months and feel much better.
I would recommend that if you are on thyroid meds to make sure the dosage is correct, you would be surprised on the difference this can make. I think another factor is how well your diabetes is controlled, I think part of my problem was the bouncing back and forth from high and low. I always thought I ate healthy until I kept a complete diary of the foods I ate, the fat, calorie and carb intake I had really surprised me. These are just a few suggestions that have helped me. Good luck!
