it seems that everytime I drink alcohol, the next day I suffer from upset bowels - Diarrheoa, always feeling the need to go, a dull ache, and so on.

I didn't always have this problem. When I go for periods without drinking any alcohol, it returns to normal, but as soon as I have a few drinks one evening, it's guaranteed that the next day my bowels will be playing havoc.

Does anyone know what I can do about this?

Colitis can cause this. I suffer from it myself. Everytime I drink, stress can also fuel the fire, and too many spicy foods. Do a search and look it up see if the syptoms fit you. Nothing horrible just annoying!
