View Full Version : Small Back Pain

I have this small back pain, I've had it for about 5 days now. It's located below my right shoulder, halfway down my body. I'm guessing that I might have sored it or stretched something, because for a few weeks, I've had this habit of lying down in a position where I put pressure on the pain area. It only hurts if I put my body into a position where a small bit of pressure goes into that area.

I don't have any other symptoms, No pain anywhere else, No shortness of breath, and I don't have any problems breathing, so I'm assuming it's either gotten sore, or I might have stretched something. Does anyone have any opinions on what kind of treatment I should use? Like Ice or some kind of lotion?

Hi Adug... sounds like you just got a minor muscle injury, so just take it easy for a week or two and it should get better... Otherwise, see spine specialist... I dont think it is thoracic spine problem since that usually happens with trauma / accident or lifting very heavy weight while twisting, etc (like me..).... In the meantime, ice it up for 15 -20 minutes max and use topical anaglesic.... The best that I have found is called BIOFREEZE which is a lotion that you rub on.... But you can also use TIGER BALM which can be found at most pharmacies... Also, ibuprofen can help too for the bad moments..
