Just curious, what are the complete possible symptoms of a hernia? I'm following up from another thread I posted a few weeks ago ( http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=381109&page=4 ). Lately, I've been getting much better - However, every so often I get weird sensations in my right side - My Doctor say's it's probably muscular. I can also feel a lump there when standing/sitting in certain positions that use more muscle. It's just below the right floating rib. Touch wood, I never feel any pain - I've had a range of sensations there, though, from very short sharp stings, sometimes a dull ache. They don't last long, and sometimes I can go a whole day without noticing anything. However, now I think back, when I first got digestive problems 3 months ago - It all started at that same area, just below the right floating rib. It felt as if something had "moved" out of place, and it caused me to panic and collapse (however, I don't believe I was in pain, just a sensation that caused high anxiety).

I've been on Ranitidine for 2 months, Citalopram (anxiety) for about 1 month and recently I've had to take Antibiotics for inflamed gums, and will be a 5 day course. I also have a really bad cold! This is what caused me to post about hernias again, because I'd just got up - I coughed a bit from irritation in my throat, then I felt a weird "poke" in my right side (at the same location, quite literally like someone had poked me with a finger, but didn't hurt). Can this be a hernia, or is there all kinds of things that go on when you cough?

Anyway, here's a diagram of where I can feel all this weird stuff: http://sectorgame.com/upload/Image2.jpg
