Hey everyone.

I am looking for a new birth control pill and want to have some names that I can discuss with my doctor when I get my pill changed. I am currently on Alesse, and have previously been on Ortho-tricyclen.
I am stopping the Alesse because it has made my periods more painful than they are off of the pill. The ortho-tricyclen I stopped as it caused my depression to fly off the handle and to experience bad pms.

The kind of pills that I am looking for information about are Monophasic and hopefully stop or help with acne.

Thanks

I think your doctor would have the best idea as to which pill to switch you to, considering your symptoms. That said, lots of people here seems to like Mircette. Its monophasic, and has estrogen in the week-off pills to help with headaches, etc.

that's the good thing about Mircette. Only 2 days of inactive pills, so it really makes for a light period. I love it! :)
