Supplements like l-carnitine aren't regulated by the FDA, and therefore no clinical studies are done on them. There is really no way of knowing for certain whether or not there is a drug interaction.

The best that you can do is consult your physician or pharmacist and ask their opinion. While there is probably no interaction, you have to decide if MAYBE loosing a few pounds (most of that stuff doesn't work) is worth the risk of possibly becoming pregnant.
