View Full Version : What kind of doctor?

I am a 27 yr old male and have a knot in my mouth down where the cheek and the gums meet on the jaw bone. It is pretty small but I am concerned because I did use smokeless tobacco for 7 years. It has a small dull ache with it. I have been watching it for about 2 weeks now and it isn't getting any smaller. I don't have any skin discoloration, just the knot.

My question is this:
What kind of doctor do I need to see?
Dentist, General doc, specialist, etc.

Has anyone else had this?

Thanks

Start with your dentist. Then let the dentist refer you out if h/s can not find the solution. I have arthritis in my jaw which makes a knot like feeling but it looks like arthritis on xray.
