Okay I was on the depo for more than a year, and the last time I was due for a shot which was around the 12th of May, I decided to go on the pill instead and took it the day I was suppose to go get another shot. Okay so heres my problem. I had sex without a condom on May 5th and 4 days later got the birth control pill. The depo shot is suppose to be affective up to 12-13 weeks and I was in the 11th week. But now I am all paranoid. I don't really have the symptoms of pregnancy except VERY mild queasyness sometimes thru-out the day and I am cramping here and there. That also may be from switching because without birth control I will bleed NON STOP for like 8 weeks with massive cramps. So I was just looking for a little reassurance to see if you all agree that I shouldnt worry because I was in the time it says I should. I was also having a period when I had sex..like i was bleeding then i would stop for maybe a day and bleed heavily some more...and so I don't know what to think. Its too soon for me to take a pregnancy test so I will have to wait it out. I just want some oppinions from people who might know what I am talking about. THanks! sorry for the long post

It's highly unlikely that you're pregnant.

I had almost the exact same situation, and I was told that the starting the pill doesn't "cancel out" the depo, even if you begin to bleed. The depo still takes time to leave your system. I would say it is very unlikely that you'd become pregnant.
