View Full Version : Sleeping problems!

I can't win at all.
If I do not take any medicine, I can not sleep.
I have been taking trazadone. If I take 1, I can not sleep. If I take 1.5-2 pills I can not wake up in the AM, even after 8-9 hours of sleep.

My Doc gave me a weeks worth of Lunesta.
It did NADA, ZIP, NOTHING to me.

So I am back on the trazadone. I had to take 1.5 pills last night (50mg each I believe), and this am I can not wake up.

I am so frustrated.

Combine this with the side effects of the meds and its horrible

I am going through the same thing right now. My doctor was going to give me trazadone but I talked him into upping my Klonopin dose to 2mg per night and I have been sleeping like a baby ever since. I went through Neurontin and Topomax before I got firm with him about the Klonopin. Ask your doctor about it. They may be reluctant as it is a benzo but they may just go ahead and give it to you. If you do not have a drug history that they are aware of, they should give you this. It comes in a generic form called Clonazepam that is usually a tier 1 on most insurances.

I'm sorry to hear you aren't sleeping. I know how frustrating that it is. I hope things get better for you.

Thank you! I do have an emergency prescription of Klonopin. I use it generally when I get panicky and anxious.
When I see my Pdoc tomorrow I will bring this up. Thank goodness I do not have a drug history, I don't need any more problems :(

I am getting so frustrated because I am on FMLA at work, in part because I can not get up in the morning, or I get exhausted by 1pm.

Let us know how the appointment goes. Good luck!

She gave me 3mg of Lunesta to try.. I took it last night and when I had to get up to go to the bathroom (which I do alot because I drink water, gatorade all of the time because of dry mouth), I feel off balance.

She also renewed my Trazadone.
She also renewed my Klonopin.

So I will try until I find something that works.

I could not get out of bed to go to work this am, but yet I could not go back to sleep. Just felt like I was in a fog.

Thank you for your help.
