i've been with digestive problems for long time but lately i've noticed that cous cous is making me nauseaus. does anyone have a clue what's wrong with it? i never feel ok after eating but that's the only food that makes me really sick. i used to eat a lot of it (while having my digestive issues) and it was alright. but recently whenever i eat it i feel really sick. i thought it could be wheat, but i eat lots of other wheat foods like pasta, bread etc and they go well. so i'm trying to figure out why this particular one food causes so much trouble for me. any ideas?

I just had cous cous...the ingredients should be on the package. Could it be he peppers? The only thing you can do is try each ingredient individually and troubleshoot the problem. Garlic, zucchini, corn, olives and peppers are in mine. The pasta itself shouldn't be the problem. I think it's just regular pasta like noodles, right?

i think it's cous cous itself, not what i cook it with. and the ingredients in cous cous are wheat only. same as pasta. if i cook pasta it goes well (actually pasta is what usually causes me least trouble). if i cook cous cous exactly same way with same ingredients i feel sick. have no idea how to explain this...

Maybe it is the way the couscous is processed. Some couscous is made from coarsely ground barley or millet. Not just from coarsely ground durum wheat.
Check for the grain used on the products ingredient label.

it says that it's only wheat. and it never used to cause problems to me before. it all started 2 months ago when i had some in the evening and i was feeling so sick and nauseaus the whole night that i couldn't even sleep, it felt like it was coming up my throat and i was nauseaus the whole next day. thought it was something else, spices or something, but now i get this each time doesn't matter what i eat it with..

Maybe your body has built an intolerance to couscous. I have alot of food allergies. I gain some and lose some overtime. Certain foods that I become intolerant too give me bad digestive problems when I eat that product no matter has it is prepared. I can't eat couscous because of the wheat.
Do you have allergies to anything or every been tested??? Just a thought.
