OK - I got the shot almost 3 months ago. I'm supposed to get my next one on the 30th. I don't think I want to.

I've spotted on and off, very light, through out the three months. Over all it was doing great and I was impressed. It took away my periods and the pain. I was able to resume intercourse!

But, now I've been on a period - what I would call a normal period since my usual periods are HEAVY - since the 10th of this month! It didn't start out to painful, but each day the pain seems to increase. I'm not having to take pain meds round the clock  Is this the typical response Endo takes with Depo?

Because of the aggression and resurgance of my migraines, I think I'm discontinuing the shots. What are my other options? I've read that Luprin has headaches as a side effects too.

Hmmmm,,,If this shot is causing you migraines,,,I would stop it. Just ask yourself what would you rather live with?..the pain of heavy monthly periods?..or the side effects of the depo?

I was on it for 9 months,,I hated it b/c it made me moody as he##, NO sex drive & depressed. BUT it did help the painful periods. Alot of women have success with Lupron, i dont know much about it though, everyone is different.
Pretty much Everything has side effects,,,,you just have to find what is right 4 you~~
Good luck.

It has made me "moody as he**" and depressed. And I'm not liking this bleeding for 16 days! It's like, great - Depo gave me back the ability to have sex but then gave me a 16 (and still counting) day period!

I was on Lupron for six months and in May finished my treatment. I was lucky to not have any bad problems but I do know its hard to make a decision like that. i have bad migraines too but to have that with Endo its not fun. Endo is much more than heavy monthly periods. I know for me I cant work, walk, or just function regularly. I had a lap that diagnosed me with it July of 2005 and I tried Bcp and that didnt help so I went on Lupron. Recently I have stopped taking YAZ bcp because it made me feel bloated and I couldnt wear my clothes. I have been spotting and some pain but not bad so I hope the endo isnt back. Good luck with everything.:)

I didn't take the shot, my doctor wasn't happy with me. He was trying to push the Mirena IUD on me. I looked it up and it had Headaches listed as a side effects so I very weary of it. I'm seeking a second opinion. I really want a lap to confirm the diagnosis.

I've been spotting off an on, haven't in a few days thank God! Sex hasn't been bad though! I cramp a little afterwards but nothing too bad. I'm in constant pain though otherwise. Just chronic cramping on pain scale of 3-5. Not enough to sideline me too much but enough to wear me down and tire me out. I've been having to take Motrin 600 mg the past couple days. I ovulated yesterday and noticed the pain was MUCH worse!

Can't wait for my second opinion on the 29th!
