My 62 yr old H has type II and got a nasty infection on his toe. He stuck it on the water thingy of our hot tub and it's almost well now.
I don't know if it's the bleach in the water or just the hot , swirling water but it sure works well.
Anyone use a hot tub for sores?

Diabetics have to be really careful with any cut, or infection of the feet. Due to reduced circulation caused by the diabetes, the risk of serious infection is very high. Many diabetics end up with amputations. The gereral recommendation is to not soak your feet in hot water as it dries the skin out and can cause cracking. The cracking can lead to infection. Recommended practice is to only quickly wash and dry feet thoroughly. Bayer makes a cream containing urea for diabetics. See this link for more information.

thanks, Ron. The hot tub doesn't dry his skin out at all. If it weren't for the tub I hate to think the condition his toe would be in. I'M the one with dry skin and I don't even get in it.
It may , however, create scales on his scalp. I haven't figured that one out yet.
