You probably have a hormone imbalance; possibly could have polycystic ovaries where the egg can't break free. With your history of irregular periods, that is the likely possibility other than pregnancy and most unlkely, menopause, at your age.

See your doctor and he'll run some blood tests if you don't get it soon. There's no harm in missing a period; but for your future fertility, you should find out why you aren't.
