Sometimes when I'm REALLY tired, and almost falling asleep, I feel I can't breathe enough. Like I'm too tired to breathe. A few times in my life I've been lying there, and suddenly will gasp for air as I'd not been breathing for a while and hadn't even realised.
I used to have to take pills to sleep. I'd be wide awake at midnight, 1am, 2am, and then I'd finally fall asleep but would wake up frequently, wide awake at all times, and then eventually wake up again at 6am and not be able to get back to sleep. Phenergan (which is actually an antihistamine/anti-nauseant but also makes you drowsy) let me get "naturally" tired.
Even as a child I was never tired. Even as a BABY I never had naps!
but I am pleased to say that for 2 years now I have been sleeping great with no pills. WOO!
