I am currently on Lamictal and Effexor.
Since starting Lamtical and Effexor I had one very light period and now I have had two months without a period.
My Doc did a blood test last week and it was Neg. for Pregnancy. I have also taken 3 at home test, all negative.

Has anyone had a problem with these meds affecting your cycle? Or any BiPolar Meds?

Help! The Docs can not figure out why! :confused:

hi, ive been treated for depression for years and have now been diagnosed bipolar, ive also had probs with my cycle being disrupted, ie irregular periods and really long cycles. and one anti depressant i was on gave me a lot of breast pain, my doc said it was due to a hormone in it which can cause production of breast milk, but was told it shouldnt disrupt my periods, but im sure thats what was causing it. i was also trying for a baby last year and had probs conceiving and tests showed that i wasnt ovulating. i often wondered if this was anything to do with the medication but my doc insisted it wasnt. id also be interested to hear if anyone else has been affected by this :angel:

I take Effexor XR and my periods have been abit funny but after a few months your body will settle down again.
