Hi everyone. a few nights ago i woke up and had somewhat of a sharp pain in my abdomen toward the right side. it happened about two or three times and then went away. the rest of the day my stomach felt somewhat sore, not really in pain, just discomfort. now a few days later, the pain isnt really any worse, just mostly on my right side, sometimes completely on my side, or sometimes even in my back, and sometimes its just generally in the middle of my abdomen. it really isnt that bad of pain, and i dont have any other symptoms. a few months ago i was diagnosed with GERD, but got that taken care of and have been fine with that since. i also tend to have high anxiety about things, especially health-wise. could this just be caused by anxiety about it (especially since ive noticed the less i pay attention to it, it seems to actually go away). is this something i should be concerned about, or is it something that could just be in my head? any thoughts would be appreciated.

Could be your appendix? I hope you get whatever it is taken care of and start to feel better!

if it were my appendix, wouldnt i be in more pain. and wouldnt something have happened by now? its not really in that area today, its more in my side and back. could it maybe be a strained muscle?

sorry to double post, but i just read something about pancreaitis and pancreatic cancer, and the pain seems similar. however, i have no other symptoms, like the jaundice or bowel issues, associated with pancreas problems or gallbladder problems, and im only 20 years old. how would i be able to tell if it was just a muscle strain or something. ive gotten myself all worked up about this, and it seems to be making things worse.

STOP reading stuff. The internet can be very dangerous for people like u AND me. Im the same i read about symptoms im having and straight away i have Cancer, (i think im probably cancer phobic)

i have had just abt everything on my body tested, but i still feel something is wrong, i guess u just have to trust the Docs !!

Anyay go get a ful check p and when things come back ok, u will settle

Good luck :)

i was at the doctor about 2 weeks ago, and didnt have anything wrong. had tests done a few months ago, all came back normal. im just worried that it could be appendicitis or something, but im pretty sure it wouldnt be appendicitis, if its generally in my side, and has been for a few days now. its more of an ache than a sharp pain too. i think it may be a pinched nerve or strained muscle. i just cant help but worry that it will rupture or something, and i wont make it. i guess i would know by now if it was appendicitis.
