I am at the fertility clinic and at my first appointment he did tell me that weight was an issue when trying to conceive.I am now only 14pounds overwieght(ive recently lost 30 pounds).I think when a fertility doctor says its an issue it kind of sinks in alot better! But then you do see lots of larger ladies who get pregnant without even blinking!

I'm overweight and it didn't slow me down when getting pregnant.

I was 230lbs with my first.
I'm a bit larger now, and having troubles ttc, which may or may not be related to the extra weight.
It's all relative, you see larger women easily conceiving, and others struggling, just as with any size a woman is....
I have to lose 80lbs for my gyn to consider fertility drugs. (well, 60 more now, I've lost 20)
If you're severely obese, it is almost impossible to find a "size friendly" doc willing to help, but an extra 20-30lbs *shouldn't* matter. If that's the case, dump your doc and find one who is more "size-friendly"

With my first I was about 20 kg heavier than my ideal weight, and I concieved easily enough. Now Im about 40kg heavier than my ideal weight, and 12 weeks pregnant again. It did take a while to happen (maybe 8 months or so) but it did happen without any intervention. My gyn is tactfully condescending about the issue.
