Hello , recently posted two messeges on here regarding my ten year old son. He had a high blood sugar of 17.3 yesterday morning so i watched his sugar intake and carbs. Thanks for all the replies. But this morning he had one egg over easy then checked the blood two hours later and it was 3.7. ? I am really confused to as how this could be so i fed him two pieces of toast with peanut butter and jam and twenty minutes later took another blood screen and the results were 10.7 . I am worried as I am not knowing if this is normal.? the hospital is an hour away and the lab will be closed. All he wants to do is eat. How do i get it so it is a steady level.? I call and the nurses say well not much they can really do until they take an gtt test. Should I continue with the low carbs and what is a dangerous level for low.? I have a ton of questions any advice would be helpful thank you.
