I have a bad cold right now, and I've had some issues lately with digestive stuff (really a WHOLE range of symptoms that have come and gone over the past 3 months, most of which are gone now!) and am currently taking Ranitdine and Citalopram. Anyhow, when I cough (which is pretty often right now) and I'm standing at the same time, It sometimes feels like someone is poking me in my side - Just below the right floating rib. I can visibly see a big muscle in that area, stretching from the rib to just above the groin area. But what could cause this poking sensation, and has anyone had it and found out what it was (i.e hernia) ?

Have you ever looked into colon cleanses like Dr Natura parasite and colon cleanse? If not a hernia, could be hardened stool that can't make its way through. Their home page has hundreds of customer testimonials, some with irritable bowels that cleared right up.
