View Full Version : Pain & Vomiting...

I started having stomach problems about 7 years ago. Heartburn, bad gas (I could have killed the dog!), upper stomach swelling and lots and lots of vomiting. I started vomiting everyday, always as soon as I got up in the morning (yellow bile) and then sometimes after eating (several times a week). After several months I was diagnosed with Reflux disease which could not be controlled by meds so then I had the 1st of 2 Nissen Fundoplications. Each surgery lasted approx. 2 years, no Vomiting...it was great. Then slowely my symptoms would return. Well, a year ago my symtoms came back (it;s now been 2+ since last surgery), they are a little different now, more pain w/o the really bad heartburn. In september they found out I had both kidney's full of small stones ( one week hospital stay & I was given an overdose of pain meds). So far, all my tests have been in the normal range. My symptoms really mimick Gall Stones but the pic's showed normal gall bladder (another kidney stone was found) The pain in my upper stomach, bloating, gas & vomiting are getting worse and now diareaha (sp?) can be added to the equation.

I'm really sorry this is so long but have any of you had anything like this? I'm getting desperate for a diagnosis & I'm missing a lot of work. I have Fibromyalgia & Myofacial Pain Syndrome but it's managed with Pain Meds (Oxycodone) which is also helping with the stomach pains.

I have never had an easy diagnosis for any of my aches & pains but this has to be something. Does anyone know of someone having Gall Bladder symptoms without a finding of Gall Stones?

Anyway, please help if you can, I am sooo tired of being sick all the time and can't handle anymore vomiting (I can't take nausua medicine).

Lots of Love,

You might have a bile tube blockage or a disease of the gall bladder. You need better specialists.

I suggest that you look for a teaching hospital like a university hospital where there is a lot of research and doctors are usually up to date on illnesses.

Another way to go would be to participate in a study if you can find one about digestive problems. You would get lots of attention and testing. Usually, it doesn't cost anything. There are websites on the net where studies are posted. You can also ask your family doctors about studies as they usually get a lot of information about them.

Hi. I have GERD and kidney stone disease and a Mother with a tumor producing endocrine syndrome wich included hyperparathyroidism.

I was just wondering if you have ever been tested for hypercalcemia or hyperparathyroidism. It can cause kidney stones, GERD, ulcers, subtle muscular aches and pains as well as fatigue. Just a thought.
