annestoic,

The effect of shark's cartilege is to increase the richness of someone's pocketbook and decrease the richness of some else's. And deplete the population of sharks (valuable members of the food chain in th oceans).

Hi Annestoic,

Welcome to the boards! I hope you'll stick around. It's a great community here and we learn a lot from each other.
Unfortunately, shark cartilage has no health benefits for your body. Rheanna put it so well, someone's pocketbook is getting healthier.

very rich natural source of calcium/ phosphorus in a perfect balance for assimilation, so good for bone building.also a rich source of collagen and chondroitin sulphate, so good for joint problems. shark cartilage is sourced from smaller varieties of sharks that are in abundance in the sea, so there is no issue of endangering any species.

In terms of dollars and assimilation, do you think it's a better nutritional supplement than, MSM, Manganese, Glucosamine, or one of the other joint supplements, and a multi-vitamin/mineral? Admittedly, it's been a while since I've priced it.
