Hello.
For the last few weeks I haven't really been eating very well. I have been skipping meals here and there and when I do eat it's usually something quick (microwaveable food or grab something while I'm on the go.)
On Friday I was feeling great. Skipped breakfast and ate lunch. Everything was fine until dinner. I went to Quiznos and got a sub. A little over an hour or two I started to feel sharp pains a bit below my navel area (no side or back pains.) These pains would come and go. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the worst) I'd say the pains were about a 7. I also felt a little bloated and gassy. Later that night I had diarrhea and felt better after that. The pains had pretty much gone.
The next day I woke up quite late and missed breakfast completely. While I was out and about I figured I'd stop in and grab something to eat for lunch (bad mistake right here!) I had not eaten a good burger in a long while, so I went to a small hamburger place and chowed down on it with a side order of onion rings and a milkshake.
A few hours later I had pretty much the exact same pains that I did after the Quiznos meal. This time I did not have diarrhea but a feeling of constipation and inability to pass gas instead. The pains were fairly constant for a little bit and then only seemed to occur when I strained the muscles in that area (coughing, laughing, etc.) Today I still had the pains and had a feeling like I needed to "go number 2" but I just couldn't seem to. When I strained to go the sharp pains would return. I also had the exact same pains while I urinated. I checked the urine color but it seemed normal and there was absolutely no blood in it at all. I ended up eating some oatmeal and then some metamucil powder mixed with water. I have also been eating a lot of fruit today and had a couple cups of coffee.
Right now I can laugh, cough, etc without pain. I can touch my toes and jump up and down with pretty much no pain. However, when I try to use the bathroom the pains return until I stop trying. I can feel gas moving around inside as well.
-I don't have a fever.
-Other than the pains I have when I strain to unload a stool or urinate I feel fine.
-I haven't vomited nor do I feel the need to.
Do you think this a very bad gas/constipation pain due to my awful eating habits in the last couple of weeks or could it be some sort of food poisoning? Or something worse?
Sorry for that wall of text up there! Any comments are appreciated!
Thanks,
Jim.

I'd recommend giving your belly a rest. All that microwave stuff and fast food would give anyone a tummy ache! Eat light, regular meals and bland foods for a while. If you still don't feel well or feel worse, see your doctor.
Take good care.

Thank you for the response.
I was actually able to have a minor bowel movement earlier on. It wasn't really much but it was something. It wasn't quite...hmm how should I put this.. In once piece?
I still had the sharp pains while pushing and I still have the same sharp pains during urination. Again, the only time I have these pains now is when I try to do one or the other. If I push on the area (3-4 inches below the navel) I can still feel sort of a gassy pressure there.
Though I will take your advice and try to eat as healthy as I can for a good while. I guess I figured since I exercised a lot and burned off a lot of the fatty/unhealthy food I've been eating that I was ok. I guess my body finally got fed up and this occured?
Hopefully I'll feel better in the morning. =\

update:
This morning I ended up having diarrhea. I felt a little better after that but I can still feel like there's something I still have in there. I feel like I have to go for a bowel movement every two hours or so but usually I don't get too much out.
As far as pain goes - I have no pains at all except during the straining for an attempted bowel movement or during urination (both pains are pretty much in the same place around 3-4 inches below the navel. A sharp sort of pain.)
Still no blood in the urine or stool, which is a good sign.
Anyone else have any comments about this..strange occurance?
