Lately I've been feeling hungry after I eat dinner and I don't know why. I eat enough during the day and my dinner is always a decent sized meal. I know logically that I'm not really hungry, but I feel hungry anyway. Usually I'll just drink some water or something to make it go away, but that doesn't always work. I'm curious about what's going on to make me feel hungry when my stomach is full.

Too many carbs in your dinner? I know that they can make you feel hungry again sooner because they convert to sugar so easily.

Well let's see. Last night I had some grilled marinated chicken, a little bit of salad and some flavored rice. And I had some iced tea. Is that too many carbs?

Nope, I'd say not, it was just a theory.

Doesn't sound like you ate enough food to satisfy you. Also try eating slower.

Hi Kann,
I may be way off base, but this is just what I have heard. I have many digestive illnesses that are being treated by meds and eating and posture. Anyway, I am always hungry at night, after dinner. Sometimes I eat quite a bit, and some times not much.
I read or was told that sometimes when you have an ulcer, you still feel hungry when you should not (like you just ate). Or maybe it is just our imagination. Like, I know that I cannot eat anything for two hours before I go to bed. So, about an hour before I go to bed, I get hungry!!!! :> Ya think??!!
Take care.

No, it was enough. The hunger always starts a little while after dinner. I feel more hungry than I did before dinner. I'll try eating slower though. That's always good to do.
I guess this shall remain a mystery.

Whoops, didn't notice your post ToBeFreeToRoam. What you said about posture reminded me that that night, I was laying down after dinner. But yesterday, since it was memorial day, we barbecued and after dinner I was running around with my little cousins. Maybe it has to do with what I do after dinner.
I don't think it's an ulcer. Wouldn't there be other symptoms of that? And I don't think it's my imagination, but then again, how would I know? LoL.
Thanks for the advice. :)
