Hello,

Can Magnesium Help With Constipation and bloating?

I have heard that taking a supplement of 250MG can help. Has anybody tried this? any success? and side effects??

Thanks,
David

Hi David,
I have been taking Magnesium - plain magnesium, without calcium added - and it has helped some. Seems that the Prilosec I take depletes my magnesium and was making me constipated. This has helped a little. I started out taking 500 mg per day, and often take 1000 some days with no problem.

I spoke to my gastro about this and he didn't seem to have a problem with it.

** hope you see this, since it has been posted a while back...
