I was recently diagnosed with extreme estrogen dominance. My progesterone is very low. I also had a adrenal saliva test. I found out I am low on dhea, and cortisol. ALtho that test said my progesterone was find. So who am I to believe. I am now on promenium, dhea, progenelone, several adrenal support pills, 1000 vitamin C, multi-vitamin, and because of having no thryroid and highly suppressed on levothroid, I am on 500-1000 calcium and 400 magnesium. And of course I have the "5 month pregnancy stomach". Need to lose about 35 pounds. Anyone else have any of these health issues and can give me any advice or symptoms they had with estrogen dominance. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
If you don't mind me asking, what other symptoms are you having? I have not had any tests to tell if I am estrogen dominant or low in estrogen. I know many of the symptoms can be the same. Thanks, Ann

Your tests read just like mine! I too, was estrogen dominant. You try and try and can't lose weight. The fat binds to all that estrogen and can't move! You should check into bio identical hormones. They naturally balance your hormones back to a natural state. I have been using them for 2 months and already feel better. The proof will be when I get the thyroid and everything checked again. Is your cholesteral high too? That is caused from the decreased thyroid function.
My prescription is a cream that I use nightly and it cost 24.00 a month, not covered by my insurance of course. But is is worth every penny. If you search for a compound pharmacy in your area, they may be able to recommend a doc, if yours doesn't know about them. I live in a tiny town and we have a compound pharmacy. I never used anything and suffered until I found this.
You keep looking until you find a doc or nurse practioner that know about them. My family doc when I asked him about menopause told me since I wasn't having hot flashes I didn't need to worry about it! He was the last male dr I go to! Let us know what you decide on.
